APC/BCCI Renewal Cycle: Ethics, C.E., Records...

APC Forum, October 2019, Vol. 21 No. 6

The APC/BCCI annual renewal cycle is now underway, and we would like to take this moment to remind you that your renewal cycle is more than paying your invoices.  As members of APC and those that are certified chaplains with BCCI it is important that you also complete the following portions of your renewal.

  • Annual Ethics Accountability Statement:  Certified members of APC are required to sign and submit their annual ethics accountability statement as a requisite to continue with your certification.  You can submit your ethics accountability statement HERE.
  • Continuing Education: Certified chaplains are required to submit their annual Continuing Education Report by January 1, 2020 to retain your certification.  Now is the appropriate time to fill out your report and submit it to APC/BCCI office staff. The 2019 C.E. Report Form can be found HERE
  • Update Your Records: As a member of APC, we encourage you to review the information we currently have on file for you and update any changes that have taken place.  Changes to your employment, mailing address and contact information could have an impact on our ability to reach you.  It is vital that APC has your current contact information so that we can inform you if any portions of your certification requisite are not met.
  • Invoices:  APC and BCCI invoices are now posted to your APC Profile.  To access your invoice, please log into your APC account via the homepage, then use the menue on the right-hand side to locate "Account Details," then "My Invoices."  You can pay your invoice online or print out the invoice and send a check, submit them to your institution for payment/reibursment or call into the APC office.

We appreciate your prompt attention to these matters to help ensure your certification is kept up-to-date and you experience a smooth renewal cycle.  You can learn more information about the requirements for Maintenence of Certification on the BCCI website.

If you would like to volunteer to participate on an APC committee or in another volunteer role with YOUR professional association, please review the application procedure here.
