In addition to the resources you are experiencing on the APC website, the association provides a number of additional periodicals and resources to both equip and inspire chaplains and spiritual caregivers.
  • APC Forum: News and Ideas in Chaplaincy Care (formerly APC e-News), launching in September 2015, is an electronic publication that provides timely information on association events and activities, as well as feature articles to inspire and inform the professional development of chaplains. It is a scholarly forum to discuss, debate, share and pursue all topics related to professional chaplaincy and the practice of spiritual care. It is published eight times a year: February, March, May, June, August, September, November and December.

  • Journal of Health Care Chaplaincy, the official peer-reviewed journal of APC, is a semi-annual publication that includes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles on topics pertinent to professional chaplaincy, clinical pastoral education and spirituality in relation to physical and mental health. Articles are based on original research, quality improvement studies, descriptions of programs and interventions, program/intervention evaluations, and literature reviews. As a benefit of membership, APC members receive complimentary electronic access to the journal, which is published by Taylor & Francis.

  • The Journal of Religion, Spirituality and Aging is an interdisciplinary, interfaith professional journal in which the needs, aspirations, and resources of the elderly constituencies come clearly into focus. Combining practical innovation and scholarly insight, the journal offers timely information and probing articles on such subjects as ethical issues, death, long-term care for the elderly, support systems for families of the elderly, retirement, and more. As a benefit of membership, APC members receive complimentary electronic access to the journal, which is published by Taylor & Francis.
  • Chaplaincy Today, published from 1998-2012 by the Association of Professional Chaplains, connected all who do the work of chaplaincy by giving voice to the individual expression of our collective experience in order that we may more effectively care both for others and for ourselves. Members have free access Chaplaincy Today archives, which are now housed at Taylor & Francis online. Chaplaincy Today featured articles on practical aspects of chaplaincy ministry, research on current practice and articles of personal reflection and poetry. Chaplaincy Today was the successor publication to The Caregiver Journal, which was published by the College of Chaplains.
