Manager Community Relations

The role of the Community Relations Manager touches each of these areas of concern, but focuses most intently on the needs, concerns and issues affecting QTS employees. Since the data services world is so competitive and demanding, the executive leadership of QTS has made provision for this role to specifically assist the Director of Community Relations in providing care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of every employee and members of their family. This person will be directly involved in the lives of employees as well as being active in the corporate events that serve our communities.

Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
? Partner with the People Services functional teams to assist with the implementation and administration of various Human Resources programs, processes, projects and objectives.
? Support and promote the QTS mission, strategy and Core Values while providing caring support for all employees.
? Be a confidential listener for employees.
? Act as a liaison between employees and management.
? Partner closely with management to ensure consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding personal conversations and interactions.
? Provide employee and family member counseling.
? Participate in site activities including volunteer events, summer and holiday activities, and site dedications.
? Establish a monthly schedule of site visits that focus on personnel interactions in order to build trusting relationships with all employees.
? Be available for crisis response activities, including but not limited to hospital calls, officiating at funerals, and other related duties.
? Be on-call 24/7 to respond to the needs of employees or their families.
? Assist with the administration and promotion of the QTS Employee Crisis Fund.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor?s Degree, preferably in counseling, theology, social work or a related field.
? Ten or more years of counseling/pastoral/social work or related experience.
? Location: Kansas City, Atlanta or Washington, DC area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Master degree in theology, counseling, social work or a related field.
? Five or more years of military, emergency services, hospital, or corporate counseling experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
? Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
? Acute listening and communication skills.
? Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, various world faith systems which will enable an interdisciplinary understanding of all employees.
? Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all personal communications with employees and management.
? Proven skills in various levels of personal counseling.
? Be comfortable in providing spiritual guidance as requested.
? Ability to provide special services for employees including performing weddings.
? Comfortable in dealing with critical illness and death situations.
? Displays a high level of emotional strength and stability.
? Ability to work comfortably with individuals of any race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
