Director of Chaplaincy Services
The Director of Chaplaincy Services serves as Chaplain to The Reading Hospital and directs its Chaplaincy Services Department. As Chaplain to The Reading Hospital, the Director fulfills a spiritual and ethical leadership role providing expertise and support to Medical and Hospital leadership. The Director oversees and ensures the provision of spiritual care to patients, their loved ones, and as appropriate, to staff. The Director oversees and ensures the provision of non-CPE education and training consistent with the mission and vision of The Reading Hospital. The Director communicates and provides liaison with the religious community. The Director works collaboratively with other healthcare disciplines in the planning and administration of non- CPE related education. This position reports administratively to the Vice President of Nursing Operations. |

| Requirements |
Masters of Divinity or Equivalent Degree.
Ordained Priest, Minister, or Rabbi in good standing.
APC/BCCI certified chaplain
4+ years of experience as a Chaplain in a Healthcare setting. Previous experience managing a program or department.
Experience conducting spiritual assessments.
The following are preferred qualifications: Doctor of Ministry, PhD or Equivalent. Certified Chaplain by either the APC, NACC or NAJC. One or more years experience in Medical/Bioethics.
