Sr. Dorothy A. Clark BCC died Jan. 20, 2009 at age 67. Endorsed by the Roman Catholic church, she was APC board certified in 2000. She spent 20 years teaching and ministering in Uganda. After returning to the United State in the early '90s, Sister Clark became a hospital chaplain at St. John's Mercy Medical Center and the Pratt Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO where she served until shortly before her death. During the last five years, she had lived in a residence of her order, the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in the Central West End.  

In addition to her sister, Georgia (Thomas) Clark Zimmerman of St. Louis, she is survived by her brother, George (Peggy) Clark of Columbus, OH, and their children and grandchildren. Posted November, 2009 

 Evelyn Josephine Newton, mother of former APC Executive Director Josephine N. Schrader, died on June 20, 2009 while in temporary residence in the Chicago area. She was born December 6, 1919 in San Antonio, TX. 

She is survived by her son, Raymond J. Newton, and his wife, Norma; daughter, Josephine Schrader, and her husband, Jeffry Schrader; granddaughter, Jo Lynn Persyn Avelar, and her husband, Josue; sister, Laura Schwinger; son-in-law, Frank O. Persyn; sister-in-law, Lilly Pape Skinner; and brother-in-law, Thomas A. Cates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Newton, and daughter, Margaret Persyn. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Alamo Heights, TX. She will be missed by family and many close friends.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX  (210.828.2811). Bobby Hendricks BCC will be officiating at the service. Visitation will begin that morning at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family has requested contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Rev. John M. Richter BCC died February 3, 2009. He served as a chaplain at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was ordained by the United Church of Christ and was a member of First Congregational UCC in Webster Groves, MO. He is survived by his wife, Rev. Charlene Raitt.

Rev. Michael O. Stewart
 PhD, associate member of APC, died on June 14, 2009 at age 72. His most recent career was as an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church, serving as a hospital chaplain and disaster-response chaplain. Before that, he was an Army and Army Reserves colonel and a university chief financial officer. He is survived by his daughter, Heather; son, Blaine; daughter-in-law, Shelley; brother, Donald; and sister-in-law, Shirley.
