NOMINATIONS/APPOINTMENTS

Elections occur each year for any board and/or nationally elected committee members whose office has expired. Nominations, including self nominations, are sought from the general membership to identify persons who are willing to serve. Vacant positions will also be printed in APC e-News. Applications for nomination for national office positions are due each year by the posted deadline. Note that while any member may nominate a colleague for service by completing the Recommendation for Nomination Form, all nominees must indicate their willingness to serve by completing the application for nomination to be submitted to the nominating committee. According to their position, board members commit to a two or three year term of office and must be willing to commit the time needed for this significant national leadership role. After reviewing any position description, please print the Application for Nomination Form (Word Document) to nominate either yourself or to encourage one of your colleagues to apply for that position.

Appointed Positions 

In addition to elected leadership offices, members may apply for an appointed position as a member of a Council, Committee, Work Group or Task Force. Please review the Leadership section of the Web site to explore the many volunteer leadership opportunities APC offers. We invite you to submit an Application for Appointment Form for the position that suits your talents and interests. For more information about a particular position and its duties/responsibilities, please contact the chair of that group.
