TASK FORCES AND WORK GROUPS

Inclusiveness Task Force  (PDF)

Formed by the APC Board of Directors, the Inclusiveness Task Force was given the mission of bringing a fuller awareness to the issues surrounding inclusiveness and diversity in a multiethnic and interfaith organization. Included in this mission is developing a deeper understanding of how to meet various membership needs at the annual conference in relation to the food served, worship and entertainment opportunities, and religious celebrations or holy days within the same timeframe.

Long-Term Care Task Force  (PDF)

Part of the Advocacy Resources Committee of the APC Commission on Advocacy, this task force was formed at the request of the APC Board of Directors to assess the needs and interests of chaplains serving in long-term care settings.

Publications Task Force  (PDF)

Part of the APC Publications and Communications Council, this task force was formed to evaluate APC's publications and consider whether or not to expand the content or scope of our current offerings, begin a new publication venture, or continue with the resources we currently provide to our members. The Publications Task Force will submit a recommendation to the Communications & Publications Council, which will then submit a recommendation to the APC board.

Standards of Practice Acute Care Work Group   (PDF)

Part of the Commission on Quality in Pastoral Services, this work group was formed to create a Standards of Practice for Acute Care Settings document and to present it to the broader health care chaplaincy community for response and dialogue. The work group will send a "final product" to the APC Commission on Quality in Pastoral Services. Those chaplains who serve in arenas other than acute health care are encouraged to work with the commission, serve on work groups and develop standards for their settings, as well.

Standards of Practice Long-Term Care Work Group  (PDF)

Part of the Commission on Quality in Pastoral Services, this work group was formed to create a Standards of Practice (SOP) for Long-Term Care Settings document, using the SOP for Acute Care Settings as a starting point. The work group will present it to the broader health care chaplaincy community for response and dialogue, and then send a "final product" to the APC Commission on Quality in Pastoral Services.
